![]() I agree but I think my definition can still hold given that a combination of those two factors come into play during those types of exercises. ![]() that puts into perspective for me.Īnd, not to sabotage the thread but holy crap man. Most people can't go faster because their muscles won't let them, not because they have trouble processing oxygen. But they don't just require cardiovascular endurance. And if you don't think that the 800m is an endurance event, you can look at the studies which show that even at world record pace, the 800m is primarily fueled by oxidative (aerobic) pathway. Go do an all-out 800m run or a 2k row and you'll see how those are incredibly intense. Is insufficient is because endurance is needed for very intense efforts. I consider "endurance" to be a composite trait consisting of cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, durability, and mental toughness. Related to this, I think of durability as consisting of miscellaneous factors that affect endurance efforts such as joint strength, ability to process food and water during an event, and ability to handle high volume of activity without injury/burnout. I consider cardiovascular endurance to be the ability to utilize oxygen for the oxidative pathway. I consider stamina to be muscular endurance, meaning the ability to continue executing repetitions of a movement above 10 reps or so. We always encourage you to speak with your physician or healthcare provider before making any adjustments to your running, nutrition, or fitness routines.I'm not qualified in any way to answer this question, but. Our writer's advice is intended for informational or general educational purposes only. Find the balance that works for you, then stick with it. Some days you should aim to run for several kilometres, while the next day you might opt for sprint repeats. Unless you're training for a specific event or sport, most people will find the most optimal health and balance by training both stamina and endurance. The goal of endurance training is to stay below the threshold where your body can no longer deliver enough oxygen. Likewise, rather than sprinting 100 metres, the goal of endurance is to be able to run 3 kilometres at the same pace. Rather than performing six repetitions of bicep curls with 16-kilogram weights (stamina), the goal of endurance is to be able to perform 20 repetitions with 7-kilogram weights. Endurance on the other hand is processing and supplying oxygen to muscles allowing them to perform for the maximum. Stamina can also be defined as the processing of delivering energy to muscles, allowing them to perform at large bursts of capacity for short bursts of time. For example, weight lifting is often associated with strength and stamina, but there is such a thing as strength endurance, as well. On the other hand, endurance focuses on performing for the maximum time. Today we will compare contrast stamina vs endurance. However, research shows subtle differences between stamina and endurance. For many, the terms refer to the same concept. Endurance can be related to any of the above activities, too, but the goal is to do the activity for an extended period of time, not to overexert yourself. JThe terms stamina and endurance are often used interchangeably in the fitness world. When it comes to endurance, pace is everything. Activities to train stamina include sprinting, strength training with heavy weight and low reps, or performing a task at max output in a given time (e.g., how many pushups you can do in a minute). But after proper recovery, your body slowly trains itself to be able to handle more of the demand of maximum exertion the next time. When your body moves past the point of being able to deliver enough oxygen to muscles, it can lead to muscle failure. ![]() To build stamina, training requires overexertion, generally speaking. While still performing the movement of running, distance runners opt for endurance running at a slower, more sustainable pace to be able to run for a much longer period of time. For example, sprinters rely more on stamina to get them through a 100-metre dash where they are demanding maximal output from their bodies. endurance: Stamina is about maximizing output while endurance is about maximizing time while performing an activity. ![]() Still unsure of the difference? Here's another way to think about stamina vs. More scientifically speaking, endurance can be defined by the body's ability to deliver oxygen to muscles while performing an action and stamina is more so about delivering energy. Stamina is defined as the amount of time a muscle or muscle group can perform at or near maximum capacity, while endurance is defined as the amount of time a muscle group can perform a certain action. For a new runner, stamina and endurance might sound like one and the same - it's just being able to run for a long time, right? In reality, though, these terms have some differences, which will actually come into play during your training.

This week I worked on the time slider, which is a slider showing how a variable is evolving in time (or with respect to another variable, like the bands for multidimensional band files). The group codes define the various sections of a DXF file that, combined, form the overall structure of the file. The ASCII DXF file, which is more common than the binary DXF file, is made up of group codes that indicate the type of value. As its full name suggests, the DXF file format is primarily used to share drawings and designs across various CAD programs, thus promoting collaboration. ![]() It is a vector file format used by architects, designers, and engineers to store 2D drawings and 3D models. 2D website images, including brand logos and site iconsĭeveloped by Autodesk, the DXF ( D rawing E x change F ormat) file was launched in 1982.The format treats text as text rather than design: the texts can, therefore, be read by screen reading software and search engine crawlers (the latter enables indexing).SVG can maintain the resolution of the images and drawings.Ability to incorporate text with visual effects, vector graphic shapes, and raster graphics. In addition, SVG includes markups/metadata that define functional features that support the management and construction of the displayed picture.Īs a preferred web-friendly file format, SVG has the following characteristics: This incorporation displays the three graphics objects, namely text with visual effects, raster graphics, and vector graphic shapes, on the web as a free-standing visual element or image file on a web page. SVG enables the incorporation of three types of graphics objects into an image in order for it to be seamlessly displayed on the web. It is a family of XML-based formats whose development and design were influenced by Adobe’s Precision Graphics Markup Language (PGML), HTML, CSS, and XML. The World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) SVG Working Group (SVG WG) developed the SVG file format in the late 1990s as a direct response to the need for a web-friendly vector file format. This non-pixel-based characteristic makes SVG files and other vector file formats, such as DWG, DXF, PDF, and AI, better at retaining the original quality of images and drawings. Thus, every time you zoom in or out, new parameters or variables are automatically inputted into the mathematical formulas, with the new results completely redefining the visual layout of the image, including lines, circles, and more. This is a sharp contrast to vector file formats, like SVG, which store drawings, illustrations, and images through mathematical formulas. The quality of raster images diminishes with an increase in the magnification. The SVG format is nothing like raster file formats, which, being pixel-based, are impacted by magnification/zooming. Life on your own farm can be very comforting - at least virtually.
It worked for both system and internal volume. Music then came out of the internal loudspeakers. I switched the audio device from the DAC to Default. It seemed so easy that I could not understand why I had these volume troubles in the first place. Let me know how this works for you and we'll see if there is anything else that needs to be changed. On the other hand, locking the volume control (disabled) may affect this also, and might fix the problem by itself. I would start by making sure that the Audio Device in MC is set up to go to the specific name of your DAC. But I haven't paid a lot of attention either, as my current DAC doesn't have a display to draw my attention. Your report of 16/44.1 versus 24/44.1 on the same tracks is new to me. All of that is OFF by default I'm just mentioning it for completeness. Of course make sure you're not applying any DSP effects like Volume Leveling, Adaptive Volume etc. The slider won't move from 100% in this position. To disable volume control of the slider: Tools > Options > Audio > Volume > Volume Mode > Disabled Volume Or choose Player > Audio Path and it will show you the same stuff. Hover over the blue light and it will show you the audio path. If you disagree with that, then you probably shouldn't trust the blue light in MC and you should look at the audio path to make sure no changes are being made. MC's authors apparently consider volume changes to be sonicly transparent, as the blue indicator for "no alteration" stays lit up, even when volume control is being applied in some way. Sonically, there seems to be no difference, but I wish I could make the choice myself instead of letting jriver choose the one or the other in a rather arbitrary fashion.Īny kind of help and suggestions is appreciated! I have no idea what makes it switch between the two bit depths for exactly the same audio file. Does someone know of a way to completely avoid volume control and to ensure that the original bits are always sent to the DAC without any modification, no matter how the volume sliders are set? I would like to leave volume control to the stereo amp.Īnother thing that confuses me is that the DAC sometimes reports 24/44.1 and sometimes 16/44.1 for the same redbook CD wav files. However, even when jriver tells me that it is playing in a bit perfect way, the volume control (the slider) is still operational, which means that the bits are potentially altered by jriver (at least when volume is less than 100%). I am trying to set up jriver on a MacBook to send bit perfect audio through asynchronous USB to my DAC (dcs puccini player and U-clock). ![]() Overall, CCleaner Portable is every bit as good as its ‘big brother’ and comes in really handy when you want to use it on any PC without installing or leaving any traces behind you.
